Privacy Policy

BNC Connect is a utility application designed to help Minecraft Bedrock players connect to BNC and other user-selected Bedrock servers using devices on the same local network.

This Privacy Policy explains what information BNC Connect accesses or collects, how that information is used, and how it is protected.

Information We Collect

BNC Connect collects limited app interaction data that is not intentionally associated with directly identifying information.

This may include events such as:

• Opening the application
• Starting a connection
• Successful or failed connection attempts
• Use of certain app features or menus

This information is used to understand how BNC Connect is being used, identify problems, and improve the application.

BNC Connect does not intentionally collect:

• Names
• Email addresses
• Minecraft gamertags
• Passwords
• Google account information
• Contacts
• Photos or videos
• Precise or approximate location
• Advertising IDs
• Persistent device identifiers
• Crash logs
• Search history
• Installed-app lists

BNC Connect does not currently provide or require user accounts.

Analytics

App interaction data is transmitted to BNC-operated server infrastructure. BNC Connect does not intentionally associate this analytics information with names, email addresses, Minecraft gamertags, user accounts, or persistent device identifiers.

This information is used only for analytics, application improvement, connection reliability, and understanding general feature usage.

Analytics data is not used for advertising or personalized marketing.

BNC Connect does not sell user data.

Local Network Access

BNC Connect requires access to your local network for its primary functionality.

When the user presses CONNECT, BNC Connect advertises a local Minecraft-compatible connection so another Minecraft Bedrock device on the same network can discover it.

Local network communication may continue while BNC Connect is running in the background through an Android foreground service. Android displays an ongoing notification while this service is active.

Saved Servers

Server names, addresses, ports, and other server settings saved through BNC Connect are stored locally on the user's device unless otherwise stated within the application.

BNC Connect does not use saved custom server information for analytics.

When a user chooses to connect to a Minecraft server, normal network communication is sent to that server as necessary to establish and maintain the connection.

Third-Party Minecraft Servers

BNC Connect may allow users to connect to independently operated Minecraft Bedrock servers.

Those servers are not operated or controlled by BNC Connect unless specifically identified as a BNC-operated service.

When connecting to an external server, the server operator may receive information normally associated with an internet connection, such as network traffic and IP address information. External servers may have their own privacy policies and data-handling practices.

Service Providers and Infrastructure

BNC Connect may use third-party infrastructure providers to host, route, secure, or deliver BNC-operated services.

These providers may process network information as necessary to provide those services on our behalf.

We do not provide BNC Connect analytics data to third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

Security

Information transmitted between BNC Connect and BNC-operated internet services is protected using encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections where applicable.

Local network and Minecraft server communications use the networking protocols required for those services and may not use HTTPS.

Data Retention and Deletion

Analytics information may be retained for operational, historical, and development purposes.

BNC Connect does not currently associate analytics records with a user account, email address, gamertag, or persistent device identifier.

Because this information is not associated with a user identity, we may not be able to identify which analytics records belong to a particular individual in response to a deletion request.

Locally stored BNC Connect information, including saved servers and application settings, can be removed by clearing the application's data or uninstalling the application.

Children

BNC Connect is intended for users 13 years of age and older.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifying information from children under 13.

Payments

The current beta version of BNC Connect does not directly collect payment-card or banking information.

If paid functionality is introduced in a future release, this Privacy Policy will be updated as necessary to describe the payment system and any related data handling.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as BNC Connect changes or new features are introduced.

The current version of this Privacy Policy will remain available at this webpage with an updated effective date when material changes are made.
